ing 6 - the new album by ing

"ing is the sound of Bowie brushing his teeth before laying
down on that water bed of Cholula©." - Vosotros

"ing is pure musical goodness." - Badical Beats

"You can't help but smile at a song that touches deep at
the root of your humanity." - Whitehot Magazine

"visual/dramatic sensibility." - Guilt Free Pleasures

For their sixth album, the tireless and constantly-reinvented neo-folk-pop duo ing gives us yet another heartwarming excursion. Stemming from their earlier works of homemade, minimalist collage cuteness, which garnered comparisons to The Books, Little Wings, and happier versions of Godspeed! You Black Emperor and A Silver Mt. Zion, Max Markowitz and John Wood give voice to various characters tied together by the sense of joyous optimism that has come to define the Los Angeles-based band. The provoking instrumental support of piano, guitars, tiny keyboards, trumpet, sampled clicks and pops, synthesizer, claps, bells, whistles, and a kid-sized set of drums delicately weaves through the hopeful, often childlike, and sometimes humorous stories offered on ing 6. An additional album of songs based on the poetry of Shel Silverstein, titled You Can See It Here, Flashing, is also released exclusively on ing's website (ingismaxandjohn.com).
